Volunteer Application Process

Applying to volunteer at the Pantry is simple!

​

1. Please fill out and submit the online Volunteer Application form below.​

​

2. The Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to set up a meeting at the Pantry. NOTE: All applicants MUST meet in person prior to starting a shift.

​

3. After the meeting, the Volunteer Coordinator will contact you about becoming a member of the Pantry’s volunteer staff.

Groups

​

At the Pantry there are opportunities for corporate groups of up to 15 people to unload and sort deliveries of food. These deliveries occur on different days and times each month. If you are interested,

please email the volunteer coordinator at 

volunteer@lagunafoodpantry.org.

Volunteer Requirements

  • Minimum age requirement is 14.

  • All volunteers must complete a Volunteer Application, Volunteer Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability & Indemnity, Publicity & Photo Release, and Confidentiality Agreement BEFORE starting their first shift at the Pantry. Minors must have the releases signed by a parent or legal guardian.

  • No walk-ins are allowed. All volunteers must meet with the Volunteer Coordinator before volunteering.

  • Volunteers should commit to volunteering on a set day or days every week or month. The hours are Monday through Friday from 8 to 11 a.m.

  • All volunteers must provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination.

Standard of Appearance

All volunteers must wear appropriate clothing that may get dirty or torn and only sturdy closed-toe shoes, no flip flops or sandals. Pantry aprons are available for convenience. Plastic gloves will be provided and must be worn. Name tags are provided and should be worn.

Parking

On-site parking is reserved for shoppers. Please park in the metered parking on Laguna Canyon Road.

​

Valuables and Personal Belongings

Please leave your valuables at home. The Laguna Food Pantry is not responsible for volunteers’ personal belongings.
