COVID-19 Volunteer Updates

The health and safety of everyone who volunteers or shops at the Pantry is our top priority. We continue to monitor the coronavirus outbreak and continually update our procedures as needed.

The pantry has transitioned to a drive-through distribution system to limit the contact between volunteers and shoppers. Only a few volunteers are allowed inside the Pantry at the same time to ensure a six feet distance is adhered to. Walk-ups are welcome and have a designated shopping area.

In addition to standard health and sanitation procedures,

The Laguna Food Pantry has also committed to:

  • Implementing social distancing measures. The recommended distance is maintained between every volunteer throughout the shift both inside and outside the Pantry.

  • Hand sanitizer is provided.

  • ALL volunteers must wear a face mask and gloves. Both will be provided if volunteers do not have any prior to their shift.

  • Volunteers will have their temperature taken at the start of every shift.

  • Volunteers who do not feel well or show symptoms will be asked to leave.

  • Volunteers are encouraged to wash their hands for at least twenty seconds and stay six feet apart throughout their shift.
